Ecotone

«Ecotone» is an audiovisual essay that focuses on borders and their relation to the control practices that are exercised over different spaces in order to keep them separate. Structured in a series of «fields» arranged from largest to smallest (from huge protected natural areas to tiny bodily spaces), «Ecotone» is a critique of contemporary forms of capitalism such as surveillance capitalism or biocapitalism. Using a variety of visual material, «Ecotone» combines and demonstrates the relationships between economic, political, historical and environmental aspects.
