Olena Newkryta (*1990, Ukraine) is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Vienna. Her research based practice is informed by the socio-political, historical, and material dimensions of spaces, images, and technological infrastructures. Olena has received various prizes and grants such as the Working Grant For Artists of the City of Vienna (2022), START scholarship of the Federal Ministry for Culture (2019), Prize of the Lentos Museum Friends (2018), Award of the Kunsthalle Wien (2017).
