EST_ART Space venue is included in the exhibitions that begin the season, of audiovisual pieces by the artists José Manuel Ruiz (esp) and Francisco José Carranza (arg), from those selected in this 17th edition of PROYECTOR.
«APOLOGY OF THE KOÑO. A celebration of power and freedom is one of the exhibitions with which EST_ART Space begins the new season. The museum is located in its BLACK ROOM Room, dedicated to the most subversive and underground projects. A collective exhibition proposal that claims the representation of food as a symbol of freedom, identity and resistance. In a world that still fights against censorship and repression, this exhibition is an act of liberation and a declaration of pride and autonomy in which José Manuel Ruiz participates with “Homenaje a Courbet”, one of the video installation pieces that are inserted inside. PROJECTOR Festival. Along with him, Clara S. Prous, Espina de Vil, Martí Moreno, No Queda Tinte, Laneleal, Ari B. Miró, Vince García and Sergio Sánchez. The space itself programs an afternoon of performance in THE BLACK ROOM within the framework of the exhibition «APOLOGÍA DEL KOÑO. A celebration of power and freedom led by PEPA (Small Performance Art Event) and its organizer Analia Beltrán I. Janés who will bring together a group of performers based on this theme and activate a series of performances.
In the main room of the EST_ART Space we will find the exhibition “MIRROR MIRROR”, a project that arises from the popular question “Who is the most beautiful in the world?” Under this premise and with the portrait as the protagonist, the museum aims to be a reflection of the society of our days. Throughout this exhibition we will discover how various artists explore the pressure that social networks exert on our lives and how the image we show to the world through screens is distorted. PROYECTOR intervenes in this exhibition with the artist Francisco José Carranza and his video installation work “Narcotic Portrait”. The work will share space with the work of the artists Ana Juan, Germán Gómez, Pepe Dominguez, Eva Alonso, Atthram, Iván Fedérico Wenger, Clara S. Prous Parafiliarte, Sfhir, David Trullo, Penélope Clarinha, Enrique González, Carol Solar, Melchor Balsera , and with artists represented by La Sindicalista (Cáceres gallery) among others.
Both exhibitions will be activated with a guided visit with vermouth together with the artist José Manuel Ruiz within the PROYECTOR Festival programming on September 21st at 11:30 noon.
